'Squid Game' season 2 in the works - director Hwang Dong-hyuk

Netflix's global hit series "Squid Game" is working for the second season, according to director Hwang Dong-hyuk.

The revelation came after Kwang Dong-hyuk and star lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, and Jung Ho-yeon appeared for special screening and Q and A at the Neuehouse Hollywood red carpet. During the same day, they revealed the season 2 is in progress.

The fans rejoice! When the 'Squid Game' family met the press, they were asked about almost the same question: "When is season two coming?"

Hwang replied: "I do have a basic storyline for season two, it's all in my head, and I am currently in the brainstorming stage. It will happen, someday, but as for when I cannot tell you the details."

"There was a lot of pressure for season two even when I was in Korea, so I have felt that pressure for a long time. We get on YouTube and see people that have already written season two and season three for us," he added.

Lee Jung-jae on the other hand is clueless about the second season, saying, "I don't even know what's going to happen."

A Netflix spokesperson also seconded, says, "a second season is in discussion, but not confirmed yet."

According to Netflix, Squid Game is the biggest ever series with 111-million global fans after its debut in September 17.
