APPLE CEO TIM COOK SAYS COMPANY WILL DONATE TO TYPHOON ODETTE RELIEF, RECOVERY EFFORTS

 Apple CEO Tim Cook announced on Twitter that his company plans to donate to storm relief and rehabilitation efforts in the wake of Super Typhoon Odette (international name Rai) that hit the Philippine.




"Typhoon Rai has caused so much devastation in the Philippines and Malaysia — so many families have lost so much. Apple will be contributing to relief, recovery, and longer-term rebuilding efforts. #OdettePH," Cook said on Twitter posted last December 21.





The Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said on Sunday, December 26 that death toll in the aftermath of the storm stands at 378. 




The reports added that exactly 3,952,880 individuals or 1.012,997 families were affected by Odette as 546,100 displaced persons remained in 1,198 evacuation centers around the country.



It has an estimated P16.7 billion damages in infrastructure and P3.9 billion losses in agriculture, while a total of P29.2 million estimated damaged cost in houses.
