A high-profile convicted former police officer Jonel Nuezca died inside the Bilibid. He is charged for killing Sonya Gregori and her son Frank Anthony in Tarlac.
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Spokesperson Gabriel Chaclag said Nuezca was brought to the New Bilibid hospital Tuesday at 6:30 by his cellmates after he collapsed while walking outside his dormitory. He was pronounced dead at 6:44 pm on that day, November 30.
“He was brought unconscious to the NBP Hospital by his cell mates at 6:30 pm yesterday, Nov 30, 2021,” Chaclag said, adding that Nuezca’s remains will undergo autopsy.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of his death.
Chaclag said Nuezca was with his fellow convict walking the vicinity when he collapsed.
