Starting January 17, 2022, all employees and those who wish to transact with public offices inside the Iloilo City hall  are required to get COVID-19 booster shots.

The announcement was shared in the Iloilo City Government Facebook page, stating that the moved was "to ensure the health and safety of its employees and clients especially with the threat of the Omicron variant of Covid-19."

Under the interdepartmental memo from the City Administrator, Melchor Tan, December 27, it ordered all department and office heads to inform their employees  of the new policy that will take effect next year.

So, they need to get their booster shots before January 17, 2022.

"In addition, clients who wish to transact business at the Iloilo City Hall will likewise be required to present their COVID-19 Booster Cards," the announcement read.

Boosters may already be given to adults at least three months after the second dose of a primary two-dose vaccine, or at least two months after the primary single-dose vaccine was administered.
