Royal Caribbean reported 48 passengers tested positive onboard the cruise ship Symphony of the Seas when it docked in Miami on Saturday.
The world's biggest cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas, was carrying more than 6,000 passengers and crew on a week-long journey around the Caribbean when the guest have tested positive, prompting increased in their contact tracing effort.
According to the company, each person who had been tested positve on arrival was immediately sent for quarantine.
According to reports, 95% of those on board were fully vaccinated, and for the people who've since tested positive were 98% fully vaccinated.
The COVID variant has yet to be indentify.
