Super typhoon Odette, with international name Rai, slammed into the eastern coast of the Philippines Thursday afternoon, bringing heavy rain and flooding across the country.

The storm made landfall on Siargao Island on the central east coast, and it reached the sustained winds of 260 kilometers per hour with gusts over 300 kilometers per hour.
Hundreds of thousand of people have already evacuated from their homes especially in the low-lying areas to evacuation centers.
In central Misamis Oriental province, the Agay-ayan River overflowed, causing mud-flood in many areas.
