In a viral video shared on Facebook showed tens of thousands of fish jumping on to a makeshift bamboo barge in a scene that many residents in the area considered a blessing from above.
Others went on to describe the sea as resembling to a 'boiling water' when the fishes jumped on the deck in Tibiao, Antique. According to the uploader of the video Flord Nicson Calawag, a licensed fisheries technologist, he was amazed of the flocked of fishes months after typhoon Odette hit their place.
Others theories said that the fish might actually trying to get away from larger predators.
'I guess it is their hunting season these days."
Fisher folks in the area are so much joy with reactions to the video described as both 'unbelievable' and 'mesmerizing'.
