Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a new level of protection for end-to-end encrypted chats on Facebook.
"New update for end-to-end encrypted Messenger chats so you get notification if someone screenshots a disappearing message. We're also adding GIF, stickers, and reactions to encrypted chats too," he wrote.
In this case screenshot feature allows you to grab the private conversation, but a receipt will appear to the other user, giving a signal that the person on the other line took a screenshot.
In case you have doubt to someone on the other line, you must turn on the "disappearing messages" setting on your messenger in order to receive notification.
