Newlywed celebrity couple Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana took social media attention following breakup rumors. Fans were worried when Tom seemed to have unfollowed his wife Carla Abellana on Instagram.
The Kapuso actor shared a cryptic post on Tuesday with a two-minute video showing a black screen with the word ".float" while an audio from a Japanese anime series "Cowboy Bebop" played in the background.
"And now you're leaving just like that.
"Why do you have to go?
"Why are you leaving?
"Where are you going?
"What are you gonna do?
"Just throw away your life it was nothing?" the character said.
Another voice replied: "I'm not going there to die. I'm going to find out if I'm really alive."
Then it followed by a song: "I wonder if I stepped off, would i float in space? Standing at a crossroads, frozen in place. I'm looking for salvation, but I miss my train. I'm too scared to go, too weak to stay."
Social media folks even noticed that Tom and Carla unfollowed each other on Instagram, fueling breakup rumors after only three months they got married.
The two tied the knot in October 2021 at a wedding ceremony in San Juan, Batangas.
