'KUYA WIL' WILLIE REVILLAME BIDS GOODBYE AS "WOWOWIN" ENDS AFTER NEARLY SEVEN YEARS RUN

 TV host Willie Revillame known to many as 'Kuya Will' on Friday turned emotional as he formally bid goodbye to his loyal TV viewers  as 'Wowowin' ended after nearly seven-year run on GMA-7.




The beloved show by Revillame ended following the non-renewal of his contract. The network confirmed the news as they wished him 'good luck in his future endeavors.' 





"Willie Revillame's contract with GMA Network is set to end on the 15th of this month. His show Wowowin will air until Friday, February 11," the announcement read.




"We wish him good luck i his future endeavors," the network added.




Revillame thanked the network management and the show's staff and crew for their support and hard work to the program. he also promised his staff, who will be unemployed, that he will hire them again once he returns on air.




Wowowin became known for its various game segments for most Kapuso audiences with lots of prizes are given especially to the poor.



Meanwhile, many netizens speculate that the show will continue in the network Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc. (AMBS) that will run on Channel 2 formerly owned by ABS-CBN. The rumors broke out after photos of former senator / Billionaire  Manny Villar and Willie Revillame has been posted on social media.



Fans were quick to congratulate Willie for the unconfirmed transfer to the new network.



The National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) has granted AMBS a "test broadcast" permit on January 6 to use the Channel 2 frequency.
