LTFRB OPENS 7,870 TNVS SLOTS FOR GRAB

 Around 8000 Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) slots has been opened by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to increase the maximum number of operating Grab cars across the country.




Grab said the additional TNVS slots were opened on April 18, with the TNVS drivers expected to join the Grab. In a statement, the LTFRB said it issued Board Resolution No. 065s. 2022, wherein 7,870 units will be accepted to serve the coming public as TNVS for accredited Transport Network Companies (TNCs).





From the total 7,870 slots to be opened for application, 7,000 will be for the National Capital Region (NCR), 220 for Region III, 500 for Region V, and 150 for Region VI.



Grab, meanwhile, noted that the newly opened batch is "not enough" to satisfy the public demand for Grab cars and is continuing to seek additional slots from the LTFRB.




The slots are on a first come, first serve basis.



Interested applicants need to fill out a registration from on the LTFRB's online system, wherein they will be given a reference number and email confirmation regarding the time and date when they can personally file their applications at the LTFRB's Central Office.
