A contractor who lost thousands of money in bets robbed an online e-sabong outlet in Rosario, Cavite.
According to '24 Oras' report on Wednesday, authorities identified the suspect as Christian Rodriguez who play three times in the outlet.
“Malaki [ang pusta] sunod sunod na talo kaya namwemwersa siya na isangla yung motor, [nung hindi pinayagan] naglabas ng baril tinutukan na lang yung mga teller,” Jimmy, an employee of e-sabong station, said.
According to the Rosario Philippine National Police (PNP), the suspect took around P380,000 from the e-betting station.
The police said Rodriguez is also a contractor of houses. It added many home owners have filed complaints against him for leaving their houses unfinished.
“Almost, P200,000 ang natalo kasi siya ay kilala roon. After ng around ng mga 4 a.m. ng umaga eh hinoldap niya ito, wala siyang magawa kung hindi magsabong at base sa mga nakakausap namin na mga bahay na kinuhanan niya ng contract ito ay may mga advance na malalaking halaga,” Police Lieutenant Colonel Ruther Saquilayan, chief Rosario PNP said.
Meanwhile, the suspect’s live-in partner admitted that he was addicted to e-sabong.
“Sa akin naman po gusto ko po siyang sumuko, kasi kawawa naman po hindi naman po masamang tao yung asawa ko. Ewan ko lang po kung bakit nangyari sa kanya. Hindi ko po alam din na siya ay magkakaganun kaya yun lang po ang masasabi ko,” Madel Ebong said.
The police filed robbery charges against the suspect and as they continued to look for him so he could face the law.
