A parish priest in Rosario, Cavite who was left missing for two days was found alive and unconsciously tied up inside his car.
In a report from "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday, the priest identified as Reverend Father Leoben Peregrino, 58, was seen unconscious in a vehicle in Silang, Cavite. He was then later taken to a hospital in Laguna, a report said.
According to his family, the priest was supposed to travel to Imus on Friday morning to buy a candle.
Rosario Police chief Police Colonel Ruther Saquilayan said they are now investigatingthe incident, but could not yet speak with Peregrino as he was still in trauma.
"Until now, we're still conducting an investigation. Bina-backtrack namin ang mga CCTV na mga pinagdaanan niya. So far, ang mga nakuha pa lang namin hanggang Dasmariñas which is siya lang ang sakay," he said.
