A single mother and businesswoman in San Miguel, Bulacan was choked and possibly raped to death according to the reports.
Regine Sebastian, 30, was found lifeless on Sunday afternoon at her house with bruises in different parts of her body, showing resistance from the victim. A cable of a cellphone charger was wrapped around her neck. She wore an upper garment but no underwear.
Her 10-year-old child is a witness to the crime as it identifies the suspect as "Pipoy," the victim's former boyfriend.
A CCTV footage captured the moment a suspect entered the house of the victim and when he left.
He was arrested by the police in follow up operation but he denied the charges against him.
Police says they found in the cellphone of the suspect some chat messages and pictures.
"Kaya sa circumstances po, siya lang po yung talagang suspect," San Miguel Police Chief Police Col. Jordan Santiago
The investigation is on going and authorities are waiting for the lab test results to determine whether the victim was raped.
A suspected robbery was also taken consideration after it found out that a jewelry worth P350,000 was allegedly missing.
