Former actress-turned- politician Angelika Dela Cruz took to social media and expressed her dismay over Philippine politics after she received a death threat with four gun bullets.
Dela Cruz showed a photo of the torn letter that warned her through Facebook page on June 7.
"Napakadumi po (talaga) ng politika sa ating bansa. 'Yun po ang sulat at bala na pinadala sa XO ng aming barangay na nagsasabi na may (apat) daw na susunod at kaya may umiikot sa 'di kilala sa bahay naming magkapatid," said Dela Cruz.
No further details about the death threat, but this is not the first time Dela Cruz's life was put into danger due to politics.
In 2013, Dela Cruz's bodyguard prevented the man who tried to stab her from behind during one of her house-to-house campaigns as a barangay chairman.
