A new bill that seek to decongest traffic scene especially in Metro Manila was proposed by Marinduque lone district Rep. Lord Allan Velasco.
House Bill 31, also known as the "No Garage, No Registration Act" says, "For every buyer, there's a certain responsibility they have to have - a certain parking space without trying not to be any hardship to any of his neighbors."
"When you try to buy a car, you have to have a certain parking area for that and that is what we want to try to push for," he said in an interview with CNN Philippines.
If Velasco's proposed bill passed and implemented, it would require motorists who want to buy new vehicles to secure an affidavit showing that they have an available garage or parking space.
It added that the measure will be applied to persons in key cities and metropolitan areas such as Metro Manila, Angeles, Bacolod, Batangas, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Naga, and Olongapo.
