Joel Mondina or popularly known to his social media account as "Pambansang Kolokoy" revealed that he and his wife Marites Mondina have ended their marriage after 20 years.
In his live video on his YouTube channel, Joel admitted that he now has a new partner and his relationship with his kids to Marites is doing well.
"Para po magkaroon na kayo ng peace of mind and hopefully matapos na 'yung iniisip-isip niyo, yes, (Marites and I) are no longer together," he said.
"Sa akin sana, what's going on sa aming private life, sana hindi na dapat nilalabas sa social media ... pero dahil nonstop ang mga nagtatanong, okay, pagbibigyan ko kayo. Ayan, nasabi ko na," he added.
Though some of their followers were saddened about the news who consider them "perfect couple," Joel said that sometimes reality is so much different than what's going on off screen.
"So syempre, dahil good vibes ang aking content, we have to look good, we have to make you guys laugh, not to make you guys cry, or get mad," he said.
However, Joel didn't go into details about their marital problems but assured his followers he continue supporting his children.
"Lahat po ng gusto nila, lahat po ng hilingin nila ibibigay ko kahit hindi ko kaya aya kinakaya ko dahil mga anak ko yon, mga best friends," he continued.
