It could be the carnival goers’ worst nightmare when their ride suddenly plunged down.
The incident took place on Sunday night at Dussehra Ground Park in Mohali, a populous city in Punjabi.
The terrifying video shows the sudden collapse of a tower with approximately about 50 people on board. Ten unfortunate people got injured when it suddenly fell.
Instead of stopping before going down, the tower drop ride goes straight down the middle of the fun at a trade fair.
At a height of 50 feet, the rotating tower fell directly causing its passengers to bounce and throw some debris.
Some of those injured in the incident are children. Five children were critically injured but are now in stable condition, according to media reports.
The carnival staff fled after the incident.
Officials are currently investigating the carnival’s safety permits.
"We will find out how this happened. It seems there was a technical issue. We organized several fetes but this has never happened. We will cooperate with the police and administration,” Sunny Singh, the organizer of the carnival, told Hindustan Times.
