An electronic 'flying car' made its first public in the United Arab Emirates. The said fly car was built by a Chinese electronic vehicle maker Xpeng Inc. The company works towards launching electric aircraft on its international markets.
The Xpeng X2 is a two-seater electronic vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft that is lifted by eight propellers-two in each of the corners of the vehicle.
The company's unmanned flight test in Dubai for 90-minutes and described by its manufacturer as an important base for the next generation of flying cars.
The company says it has a top speed of 130km (80 miles) per hour. Unlike airplanes and helicopters, eVTOL offers quick point-to-point personal travel.
"We are making step-by-step moves to the international market...First, we selected Dubai City because Dubai is the most innovative city in the world," said Minguan Qui, general manager of XPeng Aeroht.
