HENRY SY JR. AND ELON MUSK COLLAB TO BRING STARLINK IN THE PHILIPPINES

 Elon Musk's broadband satellite Starlink appears to get available in the  Philippines very soon. Billionaire Henry Sy Jr. and American tech mogul Elon Musk recently entered into an agreement for first Starlink integration.



"The Philippines is an archipelago, and connecting our country to the world often requires extensive infrastructure," Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Almeda said.




"With the largest constellation of satellites in orbit, Starlink is a flexible service uniquely able to provide reliable, high-bandwidth internet for the Philippines even in times of natural disasters," he added.



Monthly fees for commercial coverage will start at $99 in the Philippines. 



Meanwhile SpaceX's vice president of Starlink Sales Jonathan Hofeller said, "Starlink delivers game-changing connectivity in hard-to-reach, remote areas on land, sea and air."



"We look forward to making the service available in Philippines in the coming months, and we are grateful to those who have helped us connect people, businesses and government agencies," he added.



Currently, Starlink offers high-speed, low-latency broadband internet in over 40 countries.



Onced used exclusively for military and scientific purposes, low-orbit satellites have caught the eye of Amazon tech moguls Musk and Jeff Bezos because they can deliver high-speed internet to paces without fiber optic lines and cell towers.
