 Baskin-Robbins, the popular American ice cream brand in the Philippines announced that it will be closing stores in the country. The announcement was made through a Facebook post on November 26.

But before they will permanently close their shops on December 31, 2022, Baskin-Robbins has offered their patrons a 'Buy 1, Take 1' treat on all paints, quarts and half gallon.

"As a gesture of our thanks for your valued patronage over the years, we are pleased to offer a range of promos from November 26 - December 31, 2022," the announcement read.

"🍦Enjoy a free scoop with any junior/value scoop purchase! 

🍦Buy 1 Take 1 on all pints, quarts and half gallons 

🍦Buy a tub (86 scoops) for only P3500 - perfect for Christmas parties!"

"Once again, thank you very much for everything. It's been an honor to be of service to all of you," It added.

The announcement has earned tons of reaction among patrons expressing their sadness with one comment that reads: "My daughter is heart broken  she said “mom why am i crying just for an ice cream? she also said “there’s a lot of nice memories eating Baskin Robbins when i was younger up to now. I am so sad Mom” she got teary eyed… ouchhh my heart."

Others reminisced about their experienced with stories of how they are eager to get a scoop when they visited Manila.

"I live in the province but whenever i have a chance to visit metro i always grab my fave flavor salted caramel at your glorietta branch or trinoma where i frequent. One of my “must”. Thanks Baskin-Robbins," another one said

"Baskin Robbins just to inform you that we have a lot of fun and good memories with you for more than 3 decades since my family still in the Middle East and up to present here in the Philippines. Hoping and praying there will be a bounce back soon. God bless" 

Baskin-Robbins is the world's largest ice cream chain founded in 1945 with more than  8,000 branches worldwide.
