DUTCH TIKTOKER SHARES DISMAY OVER LACK OF CARD PAYMENT OPTION AT NAIA, 'CASH ONLY'

A Dutch TikToker is using his social media power to express frustration over the lack of card payment option at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Tom, who admitted hungry from his six-hour flight from Papua New Guinea has no other options to pay for food since all the shops he tried are just only accepting cash.

He captioned his video: "The worst airport to transfer?"

"We're hungry so we went to eat but 'cash only', a disappointed travel content creator said showing all the food stalls and cafes inside the NAIA Terminal 2.

He also showed a "temporarily closed" ATM, which travelers could have been used to withdraw cash.

"So you think you go to ATM to get cash, it says 'I'm sorry, I'm temporarily closed.' So this is the only ATM to get cash, so how to get something here, Philippines Airlines" he said.

Unfortunately, the store that accepts card payments is a liquor shop.

"Think twice before tranferring through #manila in the #philippines on a #philippineairlines flight! No cash = no food: I am officially HANGRY! he wrote on TikTok.

It wasn't clear how Tom got his food while waiting for his next flight after the video ended. His post earned over 1-million views as of the posting time.

His post comes after SEVENTEEN's Joshua Hong shared the same hassle experienced  when he visited the country with his mom. He cannot withdraw his money from the ATM, not being able to use his credit card at a hotel and a convenience store, and getting overcharged fare by a taxi driver which according to him he later found out that he pay three times the standard fare for the trip.
