BOXING REFEREE CARLOS PADILLA JR. ADMITS TO CHEATING IN ONE OF MANNY PACQUIAO TITLE FIGHT

 A shocking revelation unveiled by a former Filipino boxing referee, admitting that he manipulated  one of Manny Pacquiao's  title fight against Australian opponent Nedal Hussein. 



In an interview with Carlos Padilla Jr., he told the World Boxing Council that he "prolong" the 10-second count when the Filipino Champ was knocked down in the fourth round.



Padilla, who officiated the WBC Super Bantamweight title fight said that he wanted to help Pacquiao against his "taller, younger, stronger and dirtier fighter" opponent so he decided to count slower that usual in able the Filipino boxer to recover.




"I am a Filipino and everybody is Filipino watching the fight, so I prolong the count. I know how to do it," Padilla said.



He also revealed that he helped convert Manny's head-butt to a punch to avoid point deduction. He even informed judges to deduct the Australian's point everytime Hussein pushed Pacquiao.



The fight was held in Antipolo way back in October 14, 2000. Padilla mentioned receiving calls for 'taking care' of the match since it was critical for Pacquiao to win and retain the title.


Hussein, in his reaction told World Boxing News that he got "upset for a full twenty-four hours."



"The way he said it with a smirk and a smile like he was proud of what he had done, like the depth of corruption, it's obviously in his veins and his heart," said Hussein.
