Have you all changed your profile name to your real name in the Facebook metaverse? If not, do it before you lose your old Facebook account.

Many netizens were concerned about the new update of the metaverse app where it is necessary to submit an identification card to verify your metaverse account.

Facebook metaverse Changing your name:  'If you don't want Facebook to use your ID to improve our automated systems for detecting fake IDs, you can adjust your IDENTITY CONFIRMATION SETTINGS.  If you turn this option off, the copy of your ID will be deleted within 30 days of submission or when you turned this option off. Visit the HELP CENTER to learn more about what happens to your ID after you send it to us.

You have the option to upload a government ID or other forms of ID such as a library card, utility bill, etc. to help us verify your new name. Learn more about the different types of IDs we can accept. This is optional. You do not need to upload an ID to submit a name change request.

Things to keep in mind:

1. The name on your profile should be the name that your friends call you in everyday life. This name should also appear on an ID or document from the ID list.

2. Nicknames can be used as a first or middle name if they're a variation of your authentic name.

3. You can also list another name on your account (for example maiden name, nickname, professional name)

4. Profiles are for individual use only. You can create a page for a business, organization, or idea.

5. Pretending to be anything or anyone isn't allowed.
