 The most awaited final clash between France and Argentina for FIFA World Cup is happening on Sunday, December 18. 

Lionel Messi, who suffered defeat to Germany in the 2014 received a message from Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the final match.

Messi, 35, is widely compared alongside Pele, Maradona and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the greatest players of all time. 

This could be the final showdown for Messi who was desperate to win his first World Cup and bring the trophy for the third title to add the country's won in 1978 and 1986.
