₱1000 POLYMER BANKNOTE, CRUMPLED AFTER BEING ACCIDENTALLY IRONED

The post of a netizen went viral online after the new one thousand peso bill crumpled when he accidentally ironed it.


Jonathan De Vera was shocked by the outcome of the new ₱1,000 polymer banknote after he accidentally ironed it while inside his pants.



"Isang nakakaasar na kaganapan...Naiwan ko sa bulsa ng pantalon ko ang ₱1,000 na polymer. It so happen na nagplantsa ako. Nakapa ko lang nung binaliktad ko pantalon ko. Ito ang nangyari. Sadly di raw tatanggapin sa banko. In short souvenir ko na to " said Jonathan in his caption.

He was supposed to pay the money for his tuition so he put it in the envelope. But, he put the envelope in the pocket of his cargo pants.



"Goodbye 1k pandagdag ko pa naman sa enrollment fee ko...Moral lesson: wag illalagay ang pera sa pantalon kundi sa wallet,"  Jonathan added.



The said post garnered various reactions from netizens.

Previously, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said, the polymer bill is more durable than the old paper money but they have a stern warning on how to use and keep the money.
