Christine Bersola-Babao was taken to the hospital last December 27 after she had a severe reaction to the 'pancake' she ate, said the media personality on her social media update before the year ends.
The TV5 news anchor, wife of Julius Babao, was rushed to St. Luke's Medical Center just minute she ate her pancakes for breakfast.

"Nag-crave ako for pancakes so nagpaluto ako ng wheat pancakes using ready-mix galing sa Amerika...Yun ang aking breakfast," said Babao.
She feel itchy while having her shower that cause her face to swell.
"Pagtingin ko sa mirror mayroon na akong isang pantal. I knew I was having an allergy attack," she said. Added that she lost her voice, and she felt that the air passage in her nose and esophagus are also affected.
"Sabi ko, 'Kung mamamatay ako Lord either matanda na ako o di kaya sa isang malubhang sakit o anuman...huwag 'yung kumain ako ng pancakes na allergic ako, wala akong kalaban-laban," she said, as she prayed while she was rushed to the hospital.
She reached to the hospital and quickly the allergy subside after she got a shot of epinephrine.
She also revealed another health concern that put her so much pain.
"After months of bearing the painful muscle spasms on my upper right back, right arm all the way to my right hand ( numbness, pain, tingling sensation) , the Neck Xray, cervical MRI , EMG-NCV Test confirmed that I have Cervical Spondylosis Or Neck Arthritis," she wrote on her Instagram.
She's wearing a neck support for 6 weeks for her rehabilitation.
Cervical spondylosis is a general term for age-related wear and tear affecting the spinal disks in your neck. As the disks dehydrate and shrink, signs of osteoarthritis develop, including bony projections along the edges of bones (bone spurs).
