'BECOMING A FILIPINO' VLOGGER KYLE JENNERMAN GETS LAW MAKERS NOD FOR HIS NATURALIZATION BID

The Philippine based Canadian vlogger Kyle Jennerman, known to his many followers as 'Becoming A Filipino' is one step closer to get his Filipino citizenship after the House of Representatives approved the bill for his request on Wednesday.



Kyle has been living in the Philippines for 10 years, with three years spending his life in Cagayan de Oro City.

 

 


244 House members voted to approve HB No.7185, or the proposed Act granting Filipino citizenship to Kyle.


Sporting with Filipino traditional dress 'barong tagalog', Kyle attended the hearing.


According to HB No. 1764 filed by Binan City lone district Rep. Len Alonte, "Kyle Jennerman is a Canadian national who found himself enamored with the Philippines. He firmly believes that the world be a better place to live if people around the world make the Philippines a part of their lives in one way or another."



Added that, "through his vlogs, he has created and published thousands of video content showcasing his real-life interactions and connections with the Filipino people and their culture all throughout his eight years of immersive travel across (80) ou of the 81 provinces." 



The senate has yet to approve his citizenship to be official.


"It was an incredibly emotional hearing, and I am so grateful for everything that was shared and discussed. i am so grateful for the time given to me to share about my life in the Philippines and deep appreciation for this country," Kyle said.
