The Bureau of Immigration (BI) is now maintaining a no-recording policy to its immigration personnel at the airport.
"The use of cellular phones or video recording devices, and sharing of photo/videos of any Immigration Personnel is 'STRICTLY PROHIBITED'." a warning sign reads.
The Bureau is reminding the travelers about the existing Philippine's Cyber bullying Law.
"Posting pf photos/videos without the consent of the immigration Personnel is a direct violation of the Data Privacy Act," it said.
The agency recently is under hot water following a viral video of a Thai tourist allegedly lost money after he passed through a baggage screening in NAIA.
The video was captured by the Thai's friend showing a lady officer allegedly stealing the money worth ¥20,000 or approximately P8,000.
"Bawal daw kunan ng video ang pagnanakaw nila. Charot lang!!" Suzette Doctolero commented in jest.

Data Privacy Act doesn’t cover public officials doing public functions. https://t.co/jTVCMeiKbH
Patawa. D govt officials in d BI are posting on NON-TRANSPARENCY AND NON-ACCOUNTABILITY animoy protecting MAGNANAKAW. Instead of accepting CONSTRUCTIVE criticsm and to catch thieves ay seems as if protector pa sila. Hindi ganyan sabi sa Data privacy law https://t.co/G1M2TDwYZW pic.twitter.com/Y6Qr1ZRpEG
