SLATER YOUNG'S CEBU REAL ESTATE PROJECT DEPICTS THE BANAUE RICE TERRACES, BUT NOT ALL ARE HAPPY

Slater Young is showcasing the beauty of Banaue's Rice Terraces through its new real estate project which will be built in Cebu.

The Rise at Monterrazas de Cebu project was unveiled recently by the content creator and engineer. The Banaue's national cultural treasure inspired condominium is situated on the side of a mountain top in Cebu.

“It’s very, very interesting especially because we are building it on the side of the mountain. We had three pillars in mind when we were designing this. We wanted to be architecturally forward, something that Cebu or the Philippines has never seen before,” said by Young.

He said that the property has only 146 units available and have a future plans to build a mall near the entrance.

He added some details for the project such as  putting up an irrigation system to maintain the green features with fresh plants on the balcony. Every unit has a provision for electric car charging on its parking slot.

However, his future projects seems did not please everyone as many of its viewers have voiced out their concern over the environmental impact.

“How many hectares of trees and mountainside will you be uprooting, clearing and demolishing to build the condos? Did you compare the volume of rainwater your ‘irrigation system’ and tanks can collect compared to the volume of rainwater that the trees and mountainside could collect? Have you conducted an environmental impact assessment or had one conducted?” asked by netizen.

"Cebu was greatly devastated druing odette, so this is a big no for me. this is the upcoming project of Slater Young the “banaue inspired condo design” not gonna lie, its breathtaking but this may cause irreversible damage to our environment," One said.

Another one said, "I'm starting not to like Slater Young as a civil engineer bcoz of his 'Banaue' inspired project in Cebu. As engineers, we must be environmentally friendly. Wala man gane sa bukid ang mga green architecture sa SG kag  MY."
