How to solve iPhone cellular connectivity issue after installing iOS 17.2.1

Your iPhone 17.2.1 update promised bug fixes, but delivered network disruption. Fear not, frustrated users! Here's how to potentially regain cellular connectivity.

Remember that "important bug fix" update from December 19th? Turns out, iOS 17.2.1 had other plans. For many iPhone users, it wasn't just battery drain that got fixed, it was also access to their cellular network that got mysteriously...broken.

Frustration echoes across online forums, with users like "Hedgehog64" lamenting, "No internet after iPhone 17.2.1! Resets don't work, trust shattered!" But before you throw your iPhone out the window, hold on! Here are some workarounds to try:

1. Reset Network Settings: Head to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This may be enough to re-establish the connection you crave.

2. Factory Reset (Last Resort): Warning: Back up your data first! Follow the same steps as above, but choose "Erase All Content and Settings" instead of "Reset Network Settings." A drastic measure, but sometimes the only fix for a stubborn iPhone.

3. Ditch the VPN: If you use a VPN, try deleting all VPN profiles (Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > VPN, tap the "i" and "Delete VPN"). Who knows, the culprit might be hiding there.

4. Beta to the Rescue? The iOS 17.3 beta existed before the 17.2.1 mess. Installing it might just be the ticket back to internet freedom. Sign up at beta.apple.com, then head to Settings > General > Software Update and tap "Beta Updates". Select "iOS 17 Public Beta" and voila, download the beta.

Beta Warning: Remember, betas are buggy! You'll have to stay in the program until the final iOS 17.3 release.
