In a statement on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Paine called out the gossip account Deuxmoi, which had been circulating the claims.
"Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi," Paine wrote. "There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post."
Paine also expressed the possibility of taking legal action against Deuxmoi, accusing the account of causing pain and trauma to Swift with its malicious comments and accusations.
"It's time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these," she wrote.
The rumors about Swift's alleged marriage to Alwyn first surfaced in November, when Deuxmoi claimed that the couple had tied the knot in either 2020 or 2021.
Swift's fans, known as Swifties, have rallied around the singer, praising Paine for her statement and expressing their support for Swift.

"STOP SPREADING RUMORS," another fan wrote. "DOES SHE REALLY THINK SHE HAS A VERIFIED SOURCE FOR THINGS LIKE THIS? HOW CAN SOMEONE BE SUCH A LIAR FOR CLICKS, IS INSANE."
Swift and Alwyn dated for nearly six years before reportedly breaking up earlier this year.
