Kapuso heartthrob Sam Concepcion took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes glimpses of his recent stint in the hit Broadway musical, Once On This Island.
One of the highlights of his post was a photo with fellow Kapuso singer and Queendom Diva Thea Astley, captured during a particularly romantic scene on stage. Sam's toned physique was on full display in a white tank top, immediately catching the attention of fans.
In the caption, Sam expressed his fondness for the show and the island setting. "Fell in love with this show. Going to miss being on the island," he wrote.
Sam's post quickly went viral, with netizens and celebrities alike showering him with praise. Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino commented, "Grabeng braso! Looking good brother!" while a Facebook page jokingly referred to Sam as "daddy" due to his impressive physique.
Once On This Island, a Tony Award-winning musical, concluded its limited Manila run in September. Sam played the role of Daniel alongside Jef Flores, while Thea portrayed the lead character, Ti Moune, alternating with Angela Ken.
Other notable cast members included Kapuso actor Garrett Bolden as Agwe, the God of Water. The musical is based on Rosa Guy's novel "My Love, My Love or The Peasant Girl," a Caribbean retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid."
The show featured popular songs such as "We Dance," "The Human Heart," "Waiting For Life," and "Forever Yours."
