Former actor Jesi Corcuera has shared his heartfelt journey towards fatherhood, revealing the challenges and triumphs he's faced along the way.
Corcuera, who gained popularity after appearing in the 2016 edition of "Pinoy Big Brother," first considered starting a family in 2018. However, financial constraints and the high cost of in vitro fertilization (IVF) put his plans on hold.
"I started planning to have a child in 2018, but there were many challenges, especially financial ones. The cost of IVF was also a big hurdle," Jesi shared.
It wasn't until his partner re-entered his life that Corcuera decided to pursue his dream of fatherhood. Taking on the role of a father figure to his partner's children gave him a newfound perspective and renewed hope.
"As I became a father to Cams' children, I realized that there might still be a chance for me to have my own child," he explained. "I never expected to get pregnant this year, but I'm incredibly grateful that God has blessed me with this gift."
Jesi is carrying their child through his last option, and has lovingly nicknamed the baby "Ninja." Despite the joy of his impending fatherhood, Corcuera acknowledges the complexities of his situation.
"This journey hasn't been easy for me, so I hope people will understand what I'm going through," he said. "I'm fully committed to supporting my partner's children, while at the same time, I'm excited to have my own child. All I want is to have someone I can truly call my own."
Jesi's candidness about his experiences has resonated with many, highlighting the challenges and rewards of family building. His story serves as an inspiration to others who may be facing similar obstacles on their own paths to parenthood.
