Veteran actor Cesar Montano has expressed his support and well wishes for his ex-wife, Sunshine Cruz, as she embarks on a new chapter in her love life with businessman Atong Ang.
The actor’s response comes after Ang confirmed his relationship with Cruz, following months of speculation and public sightings. The couple has been seen together on numerous occasions, and recent viral videos captured them sharing intimate moments.
In an interview with the Philippine Star, Montano shared his heartfelt sentiments: “Saludo ako kay Atong for being man enough to admit his relationship with Shine. I sincerely wish that they will live happily ever after. They both deserve to be happy.”
Montano further emphasized his happiness for Cruz, stating, “When Shine is happy, that means our three daughters are happy, too. And as a father, my daughters’ happiness is mine as well.”
Cruz and Montano separated in 2013 and finalized their annulment in 2018. The actress was previously in a long-term relationship with politician Macky Mathay, which ended in 2022.
Meanwhile, Montano is currently in a relationship with non-showbiz partner Kat Angeles.
