Riverside College Bacolod (RBC) has once again made its mark in the field of physical therapy. Raymund Carlo A. Masbaño, a proud alumnus of the institution, has achieved the highest rating of 90.55 percent in the December 2024 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination (PTLE). This remarkable feat solidifies RBC's reputation for producing top-performing physical therapists.
Masbaño, a native of Barangay Granada, Bacolod City, is a testament to RBC's commitment to academic excellence. Having completed both his Senior High School and College education at the institution, he has brought honor to his alma mater and his community.
Local officials have expressed their admiration for Masbaño's achievement. Mayor Alfredo "Albee" Benitez extended his congratulations, recognizing the impact of this accomplishment on the entire Bacolodnon community. Barangay Granada Captain Armando Vito also lauded Masbaño, highlighting his inspiration to the youth of the barangay.
This is the second consecutive year that RBC has produced a PTLE topnotcher. In 2023, Ma. Angelica Faye Dela Victoria of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, topped the exam with a rating of 89.70 percent.
RBC's consistent success in the PTLE reflects the dedication and expertise of its faculty, as well as the rigorous academic programs offered by the institution. The college's BS Physical Therapy program has proven to be a catalyst for producing highly skilled and competent physical therapists.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that a total of 1,206 out of 1,700 examinees, or 70.94 percent, passed the PTLE. The exams were conducted on December 6 and 7 in various testing centers across the country.
