With strong support from both the government and private sector, the country aims to deliver a memorable and successful tournament that will solidify its position as a premier sports tourism destination.
The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Executive Board, co-chaired by Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, and William Vincent Araneta Marcos, recently held its first comprehensive meeting, signaling the official kick-off of preparations.
"We're grateful for all the work that has been put in for the Philippines to be ready to host this very exciting sports tourism event," said Secretary Frasco, expressing confidence in a successful hosting that will attract volleyball enthusiasts from around the globe.

With 31 top volleyball nations set to compete alongside the Philippine team, Alas Pilipinas, preparations are in full swing. Suzara, who also heads the AVC and PNVF, stressed the importance of collaborative efforts and expressed his enthusiasm for the tournament, echoing the FIVB's new slogan, "Together As One."
Bachmann pledged unwavering government support, aiming to make the Philippine edition the best in FIVB history. He expressed confidence in the team's ability to replicate the success of the FIBA World Cup, given the involvement of key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.
Tolentino affirmed the POC's full backing for the event, highlighting the growing prominence of volleyball in the country. He also emphasized the ongoing preparations for the 2023 SEA Games, demonstrating the nation's commitment to hosting world-class sporting events.
