The images depict Young-hee controlling traffic lights, seemingly ready to "eliminate" those who dare to disobey traffic rules.

This playful yet thought-provoking trend stems from the frustration many Filipinos feel towards the rampant disregard for traffic laws in the country. The post on the r/Philippines subreddit asking "Do we need this in the Philippines?" has garnered significant attention and sparked debate among netizens.

Many online users expressed their approval, believing that the fear of Young-hee's deadly consequences might instill discipline among reckless drivers and motorcycle riders, often referred to as "kamote" in local slang. Some even suggested that the doll should be able to detect those who fail to use their signal lights properly.

While the idea is clearly a humorous one, it highlights a serious issue.  Traffic violations are a major problem in the Philippines, often leading to accidents and congestion.  Edison "Bong" Nebrija, head of the MMDA Traffic Education Division's Training Section, has repeatedly emphasized the importance of obeying traffic signals. He recently shared a video of a motorcyclist being hit by a car after ignoring a red light, underscoring the dangers of such behavior.

However, whether a fictional killer doll would be an effective solution is debatable.  While fear can be a powerful motivator, it is unlikely to be a sustainable solution in the long run.  Experts believe that a multi-faceted approach is needed to address the problem, including stricter enforcement of traffic laws, improved driver education, and better road infrastructure.
