A 38 second video of the girl, naked and unconscious, has circulated on social media. The perpetrators put up pictures and a video of the girl on Twitter, sparking a nationwide backlash.

She remembers being alone with him there. The girl says her next memory is walking up in a different house surrounded by more than 30 men, many of them armed. All, or at least some of them, took part in her rape. Naked, injured and penniless, she found some spare clothes and made her way home, she said.
Four arrest warrant have been issued on Friday. The incident has shocked Brazil and campaign groups have been already been calling for a nationwide protests over the coming days.

Brazilian police are now hunting more than 30 men involved in a gang rape of a teenage girl in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the data reported to BBC news, 47,636 rapes were reported to the police in 2014, it is estimated only 35% of rape cases are reported. Rape of an adult is punishable by a prison sentence of between 6-10 years and rape for a minor is 8-12 years in prison.
