Former Canadian UFC fighter Ryan Jimmo was killed in a hit-and-run. Jimmo, 34, died following an altercation in a parking lot in Edmonton early Sunday, police said. Jimmo had approach the driver of a pickup truck in the parking lot, and was walking back to his own car when he was struck by the truck, according to a report. Jimmo was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police are now looking for a dark-coloured,customized older-model pickup truck.
Jimmo was first appeared in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's UFC 149, in Calgary, in July of 2012. The light heavyweight fighter tied a record for the fastest knockout (seven seconds), and appeared in the eighth season of the TV series "Ultimate Fighter." He went 19-5 in his mixed-martial arts career and lost his final match in May 2015.
