Russia to Duterte "Formulate your wish list"

"Formulate you wish list," Mr Khovaev told President Duterte, quoted by the GMA news agency." Think of what kind of assistance you expect from Russia and we will be ready to sit down with you and discuss what can and should be done."

" A true Russia is much, much different from what is being portrayed by Hollywood movies. The Philippines and Russia deserve to know each other much, much better. It's time to discover," Khovaev added.

Russia's ambassador to the Philippines said Moscow is ready to discuss with the Philippine government, after president Rodrigo Duterte announced his country was "separating" from the United States.

During his four-day visit to China, Duterte announced he believed "America has lost" and said would go to China and Russia.

American government said it would seek clarity on the president's comments, on Thursday the State Department Spokesman John Kirby said that top U.S. diplomats were confused by Duterte's statement.

"We remain going to be seeking an explanation of exactly what the president meant when he talked about separation from us," he said."It's not clear to us exactly what the means and all its ramifications."
