Philippine Holidays for 2018 has been signed by Duterte

So that the public can prepare for their vacation or schedule, President Duterte has signed Proclamation No. 269 declaring 10 regular holidays and eight special non-working days for next year 2018.

Here's the list of 2018 Regular Holidays:

New Year's Day - January 1, 2018
Good Friday - March 29-30, 2018
Araw ng Kagitingan - April 9, 2018
Labor Day - May 1, 2018
Independence Day - June 12, 2018
National Heroes Day - August 27, 2018
Bonifacio DAy - November 30, 2018
Christmas Day - December 25, 2018
Rizal Day - December 30, 2018

Special Non-Working Days:

Chinese New Year - February 16, 2018
EDSA People Power - February 25, 2018
Black Saturday - March 31, 2018
Ninoy Aquino Day - August 21, 2018
All Saints Day - November 1, 2018
Last Day of the year - December 31, 2018

Two additional special holidays are All Souls Day - November 2, 2018 and Christmas Eve - Decemeber 24, 2018

The extra holidays were declared to stregthen family ties in commemorating such activities as well as promote domestic tourism.

The proclamation declaring national holidays for Eid'l Fitr and Eid'l Adha will be issued soon after the dates of the Islamic hoidays have been determined.
