Former PBB Housemate Margo Midwinter recovering from 10-hour surgery to remove liver tumor

Former Pinoy Big Brother 737 housemate Margo Midwinter is under recovery after surviving from 10-hour surgery to remove a tumor in her liver on Sunday, October 8. The 25-year-old Filipino-British model was diagnosed with liver tumor months ago.

Here's Margo Midwinter shared her photo in her Instagram account sharing her story:

A week ago today I was excited to attend the starmagic ball, how a week has changed - now I'm excited to be released from the hospital and go home. I had been living in pain for months, a mass in my body was growing. My boyf saw me everyday and knew the pain I was experiencing, I would work and yes post wonderful photos but most of the time I was heavily medicated. Dr Catherine Teh performed a 10hour surgery, she even discredited the doctor in the NHS who informed me key hole would be impossible and my surgery would have to be open. I woke up and not only felt relief that my ordeal was over but I felt joy to know that the procedure had been done laparoscopic. God guided her hands to work wonders on me. They removed the 13cm tumour plus 68% of my liver as they were attached, but I had no complications. The tumour is having a biopsy but we are quite confident it's benign. I'm so thankful to God for this second chance at life. All of this wouldn't have been possible without my Mikey. He never gave up searching for a better doctor. He sacrificed work to attend all my doctors schedules and appointments, he held my hand while I did numerous medical exams and he stayed with me during the recovery instead of sleeping at home. He was by my side during my worse days and now he gets to see me at my best. I'm out of ICU, recovering in my room. I still haven't been able to walk but with the care of my amazing strong mammy I know it will happen soon. I'm very thankful to have my parents with me. Thank you to everyone who visited me, especially Mike's parents, my relatives and our friends. To everyone who sent prayers and well wishes, it means a lot. This may have been one of my hardest trails in my life, but God blessed me with a wonderful surgeon, doctors and nurses. He also gave me an incredible man in my life. @mikevilli Everything truly is in god's perfect timing. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐ŸŒน #stlukesglobal
