North Chile earthquake recorded 6.3-magnitude

A 6.3 magnitude strike Northern Chile on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 (Philippine Time), the United States Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed.
According to its latest earthquake bulletin, the quake hit at a depth of 82 kilometers. The tremors was felt at 70 kms.(43 miles) east of the coastal city of Africa, near to the boarder of Peru.

No tsunami warning was announced, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre.

Chile is located in the Ring of Fire, which is a major area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean where a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur.
