Justice has been served for the death of Nikki Piñero and Lorraine Ramirez. The accused has been sentenced to a double 20 years(to life) imprisonment for murder in court in Siquijor, July 17, 2018.
Michael Añabesa Manayon, 34,used six knives in attacking Loreen Ramirez, 17 and Nikki Piñero, who was three months pregnant, inside the house of the Bruce Resort's owner. Manayon, a Lapu-Lapu city resident, participated in the international longboarding contest held in the town was reported high on drugs during that time.
It was recovered from the suspect possession were one plastic pack of marijuana and six pieces of kitchen knives with blood stains.
