Won't you believe it, that the multi-millionaire Hong Kong action star Chow Yun Fat is spending only $102 per month? He was known to his audiences in films like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Bulletproof Monk and Anna and the King, recently revealed that he lives prudent and plans to leave his $714 million fortune to charity.
"The hardest thing in life is not about how much money you earn, but how to keep a peaceful mindset and live the rest of your life in a simple and carefree manner," he explained in Indiewire.
The 63-year-old star has been married to Jasmine Tan who revealed that Chow now has a net worth of $5.6 billion Hong Kong dollars (more than $714 million) but still enjoys eating cheap street foods. Chow has also been using his wife's old Nokia mobile phone for 17 years but only changed to a new smartphone recently after the old phone stopped working.
Chow stays frugal by taking public transportation as often as possible and doing charity work instead of spending it on himself. He shops at discount clothing stores, because, he said" "I don't wear clothes for other people. As long as I think it's comfortable, then it's good enough for me."
