Philippines is near to acquisition of Israeli GBADS, Black Hawks, attack helicopters, Ex-PAF chief announced

In his speech, outgoing Air Force chief Lieutenant General Galileo Gerard Kintanar Jr. announced some major acquisition projects for the AFP that nearing conclusion in early 2019.

1. 16 Black Hawks from the United States. "The best combat utility helicopter in the world today," ha said.

2. 6 T-129 attack helicopters from Turkey. "At par with the best in the world," he described.

3. 3 ground based air defense systems (GBADS) from Israel.

However, prior to this appointment, Lt. Gen. Briguez served as Commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Command (WESCOM). He is also a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Sinagtala Class of 1986.
