The Bacolod Esplanade, located beside the Government center is the second city in Western Visayas to have a stunning walkway. The P37-million esplanade project that will serve as the venue for recreational and fitness activities was just turned over by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bacolod to the city government.
The project is similar to the first one in Iloilo River Esplanade, which has 440-meter revetment wall along the Lupit River. The best activities to do here are jogging, sunset walking, and other fitness activities.
The Mayor of Bacolod recently requested city council members to pass an ordinance protecting and maintaining the multi-million project.
