The Philippine Independence Day could be felt and see tonight at the world's tallest skyscraper in the world. The Burj Khalifa will light-up with the colors of the Philippine flag on Wednesday, June 12 which marked the Philippine's 121st Independence Day from Spanish rule.
The Consul-General Paul Raymund Cortes himself confirmed that the celebration would take place at 9:40pm later tonight.
“This monumental occasion manifests the collective pride and joy of the Filipino community in the UAE and their appreciation to the multicultural community in the country for welcoming them in this diverse society,” he said.
Different areas in the UAE will hold spectacular events like a record-breaking laser light show 'IMAGINE' that will be starting today, June 12 from 9pm, and will continue from June 13-15 from 7PM onwards.
You can extend the celebration by joining Journey front man Arnel Pineda, he will be performing live on June 14, 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
