Isko Moreno plans to provide free meals to public school students

Mayor-elect Isko Moreno plan to revive the daily implementation of the Nutribun program in public elementary schools in Manila, to address child malnutrition. Local government will provide nutritious ready-to-eat-meals like bread and milk to feed students, under the proposed Nutrition program.

Isko who came from poor family understood the hardships of poverty-stricken families who send their children to school with nothing to eat.

Many students attend their class without food in their stomach and hungry because of poverty, I know that feeling because Iwas one of the students who came to school without food in his stomach), Domagoso said.

Isko proposed the daily implementation of the free feeding program starting from kindergarten and Grade 1 students in Manila public schools.
